Spartans!—Homecoming is this Saturday from 7-9pm at Southeast High School. If you are bringing a date that does NOT attend Southeast, you MUST fill out a date request form. These can be found in the main office and are due back by THIS WEDNESDAY. Any questions, please see Mrs. Barcik in Room 103. Seniors, Homecoming court forms are now available in the main office. They are due back TODAY. Voting will be Wednesday during lunch. Hopefully everyone is dressed up today to celebrate spirit week!! Let’s get pumped for Homecoming: Today: Western/Flannel Day Tomorrow: Character Day Wednesday: Camo Day Thursday: 90s/Y2K Day Friday: Blue and Gold/Seniors Wear Togas The theme for Homecoming is a golden masquerade—tickets will be on sale next week. $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Attention all seniors!! Just a reminder that you have to get the meningitis A vaccine by October 1 to remain in school after that date. Please make an appointment to get that shot. Then let the nurse know you got it. Attention all 9th graders!! Just a reminder that you have to bring a current physical to the nurse by October 1 to remain in school after that date. Poetry Club will meet this Friday from 3:30-4pm. Please see Mrs. Collins or Mr. Gleeson with any questions! Attention students: District 186 is starting the search for a new superintendent, who will begin in July 2026. The Board of Education wants input from students, staff, parents, and the community on what qualities are most important in the district’s next leader. You can share your thoughts through an anonymous online survey, available on the District’s homepage now through Saturday, September 27, at 11:45 p.m. |

ㅡ Awards/CelebrationsCoach Hamilton, our boys basketball coach, and Senator Doris Turner have teamed up to promote non violence in schools. Many things will be offered from this grant money, but one thing everyone enjoyed last year and could participate in was Gift Card Giveaway Friday. All you have to do is be referral free, that includes cell phone, headphones, and dress code referrals. There is a little bit of a difference this year, instead of being referral free for the WHOLE year, Coach Hamilton wants students to reflect on their referrals, make necessary changes, and get another chance at a gift card. So each month is a fresh start. How do you know if you win? Watch Friday morning announcements. The wheel will spin and name 3 big winners of $50 gift cards to be claimed in the student office. So check those Friday morning announcements and stay referral free each month! |
